Andrea L. Kimura, holds her Master's in Education, is a seasoned Certified Coach with over 10+ years’ experience, along with being a yoga & meditation instructor, and is committed to creating opportunities for individuals that are personally transformative. Through her work at the University of Missouri-Columbia as a Health Educator, Adjunct Professor, and dedicated volunteer in her town, she inspires others to strive towards the betterment of themselves, educates future leaders through skills-based experiences, whereby they have a better understanding of their natural talents and strengths; they then go on to contribute to the betterment of their communities.
Weaving mindfulness into the personal journeys, she encourages others to come with a beginner’s mind, embracing new ways of thinking, new ways of understanding, and ultimately new ways of being. She focuses on allowing individuals to re-discover their gifts and become the best version of themselves by being their own advocate and agents of change.
A fun fact about Andrea is, if you ask her about Cleopatra the VII or Gaius Julius Caesar you should set aside an hour or three of your time to hear her geek out on the subject. She loves international travel and connecting with locals in other countries as she finds the common threads of humanity in those beautiful mundane-everyday-life events. While living life, her favorite people she likes to share it with are her 3 adult children, dear friends, and faith community.
